Getting started

Set up the family. Add everyone under Settings › Family. Each person gets a color.
Fill it in. Assign chores, fill the shopping list, plan the week's meals.
On the wall. In wall mode the iPad shows the whole board in large type. Everyone ticks things off there.

In the “Chores” tab, tap the plus.
Enter what needs doing and turn on the people in charge. With several people, “Rotate every week” changes the person on Monday.
Choose the repeat and tap “Save”.
Tap the round button next to the chore to tick it off. A second tap removes the tick.

In the “Shopping” tab, type the item into the field. The section next to it is picked from the name. Tap it to change it.
Frequent items appear below as suggestions.
In the store, tap the item. It then appears under “In the basket”.
“Remove bought items” at the top right tidies the list.

In the “Meal plan” tab, tap lunch or dinner on a day and choose a dish or add a new one.
Under “Dishes”, mark favorites with the star and enter the ingredients.
“Roll the week” fills the week's empty slots from the favorites.
In a dish, tap “Add ingredients to shopping list”.

On the board, tap “Wall mode” at the top right.
The screen stays on. At night it dims. The times are under Settings › Wall mode.
With “Set parent PIN”, wall mode can only be closed with the PIN.

Does the app need an account?

No. There is no sign-in. The board lives only on your device.

Can everyone add things from their own iPhone?

For now the board lives on one device, for example the iPad on the wall. Everyone ticks things off there.

Does the app read my events?

Only from the calendars you turned on under Settings › Choose calendars. The events stay on the device.

How do I keep the iPad in the app?

With Guided Access in iOS: Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access.

How do I back up my data?

With the device's iCloud backup. The app data is included.
